The brief was to incorporate both the kingfisher and Bitcoin into the branding, which was done using a opaque orange circle through which an image of a kingfisher can be seen.
The bird itself offers some nice vertical presence that mirrors the adjacent J at the start of the word. It can be enlarged to use as additional texture in the white space around the logo.
